EUROPEaN ministers were last night racing against the clock to secure the strong climate deal they have been seeking from the latest talks on global warming. The UN talks in South africa, had been due to finish on Friday night, but carried on throughout yesterday as the European Union continued to press for agreement to negotiate a new legally binding treaty by 2015. UK Climate Change Secretary Chris Huhne said they were prepared to go on as long as it took to secure the credible agreement the EU was looking for, but admitted time was running out to get a deal.
