FORMER US vice-president turned climate change campaigner al Gore is to appear in Edinburgh at a conference on carbon emissions.  The Nobel Laureate will speak at the Scottish Low Carbon Investment Conference in September, which will be opened by First Minister alex Salmond.  Salmond said:  I am delighted that former vice-president Gore will be attending this year s conference. His words will provide great encouragement to delegates and to others.
