Scottish Power risks being overtaken by US companies in the race to build the first full-scale demonstration of carbon-capture and storage (CCS) at Longannet in Fife, experts have warned. They blame Government delays for the threatened loss of prestige and commercial opportunities that would accompany a global first in this technology.
