Just before we went on holiday last week there was shock and horror that a Scottish power company had increased its tariff by a large amount. We got home yesterday to find, among the mail, an announcement from EDF that our tariffs are being changed. There was nothing to indicate the amount of the change and a quick search online finds no announcement of the percentage increase.  I run my own comparison based on my annual usage and the published rates of all of the main cartel members. So far I have not been through them all but EDF have increased my  fixed rate online saver  by almost 20% for gas and almost 30% for electricity. Needless to say, I will update my spreadsheet on
