WALSH BAY
THE opulent food and drink and glamorous outfits on show at the launch of Australian Survivor were in stark contrast to the conditions that the contestants will face on location in Samoa.
In tropical theme, guests at Simmer on the Bay on Wednesday drank rum cocktails and ate seafood and pineapple canapés.
None of the contestants were revealed at the launch, but voiceovers revealed a teacher and a member of the armed forces will participate.
Host Jonathan LaPaglia, The Project host Carrie Bickmore, Sandra Sully and Natarsha Belling were on hand to celebrate the revamped series, alongside new mum Sarah Harris who stepped out sans baby.
Guests left with a Survivor-branded snood, reminiscent of the bandannas worn on the series.Sally Rawsthorne
