Have you ever wanted to try your hand at being a reporter? Well, here's your chance!
Choose one or more of these regular ED! columns and have a go at writing your own:
 The Word:  Book reviews with cover images.
 Who?Where?What? :  Information with photosillustrations.
 Keep Watch:  Q & A with a talented young person, plus a photo.
 Make It:  Craft instructions with photos illustrations.
 The Buzz:  News story about kids or issues of interest to them, with a photo.
 Mind Games:  Create three puzzles, including one crossword.
 Spot On:  Ask five classmates their opinion on a topic, and take their photos.
Explore the content and style of these columns in ED! and try to present your stories in the same way (book reviews must be longer than those normally published in ED! - see the online link at right for details), making sure your writing is interesting and correct. 
Provide photos to illustrate your stories. They should be in focus and have good lighting. All text, photos and artwork must be your original work. 
The best entry for each column will be published in ED! on   October 25.
 CENTRE-SPREAD TOPIC 
Your class could write the double-page topic story for our  gen   zED  ! edition, working with  The West Australian  's Media Education staff.  
Last year a Year 6 class from Inglewood Primary School compiled a fascinating story about codes and how to crack them, which included excellent illustrations hand-drawn by the students.
