MARIE Tuck's centenary painting of Proclamation Day celebrations at Glenelg is among 20 works by the artist to be auctioned tomorrow as part of the Richard Boland collection of South Australian art. 
The collection, which also features works by great SA artists Jacqueline Hick, Hans Heysen, Horace Trenerry, Dorrit Black and Margaret Preston, will be sold in Melbourne by auctioneers Leonard Joel.
Tuck's The Proclamation was painted in 1936 to mark the centennial of the establishment of South Australia's government and has an estimated price of $25,000 to $35,000. Other works by Tuck are in the $900 to $7000 range.
Two oils on board by Hick, Children's Hospital and Recurring Theme, have estimates of $10,000 to $15,000, and a hand-coloured woodcut of Lorikeets by Preston is valued at $15,000 to $20,000.The collection by Boland, who worked in the early days of the TV industry, can be viewed online at leonardjoel.com.au
