EVENT CINEMA, SYDNEY CBD
WE'VE been waiting 13 years to find out what happened to Dory so it was no surprise there was a strong turnout to see the Finding Nemo sequel, Finding Dory.
A raft of celebrities and their kids walked the ocean-inspired blue carpet at Sydney's Event Cinema complex.
Modern Family star Ty Burrell was special guest of honour, flying in to promote his part in the film voicing the character of Bailey, a beluga whale. Ellen DeGeneres voices the title character of Dory.
"The first film introduces an idea that family is family no matter what, no matter whether you were born into that family or what you look like," Burrell said.
"This one takes it a step further in that it is that same family but also that your weaknesses can be compensated by your friends and that friendship can make you whole.
"Everyone in this movie has something wrong with them and they basically just compensate for each other's weaknesses and help each other to achieve this incredible thing."JONATHON MORAN
