Props Scott Sio and Greg Holmes have been dropped from the Wallabies starting XV in place of James Slipper and Sekope Kepu while Sean McMahon has been given the nod to fulfil David Pocock's void at No.8 for Australia in the second Test against England at AAMI Park on Saturday.
And Rob Simmons has been officially ruled out due to a back injury, presenting an opportunity for Brumbies second-rower Sam Carter after initially missing out on the 23 for the Brisbane Test.
Coach Michael Cheika has made sweeping changes to his forward pack for the must-win second Test with four of eight forwards missing from the side that started on Saturday in Australia's 39-28 defeat to Eddie Jones' England.
Sio, who was sent to the sin bin after being warned by referee Romain Poite for a number of infringements in the scrum, has not even been included in an extended 11-man bench, which will be trimmed by three on Friday.
It comes after former Wallabies coach Bob Dwyer came to Sio's defence, claiming the loose-head was being brought down illegally by England prop Dan Cole.
Cheika's selections reflect how unhappy he was with his front-rowers and his decision to recall Sekope Kepu, one of Australia's most reliable performers at the World Cup, is a fair indication he is after immediate results.
Holmes will drop to the bench however alongside newcomers Toby Smith and Luke Morahan who both stand a chance of adding to their three and one caps respectively.
As for Simmons, who sat out Wallabies training on Tuesday, he will be rested for the match and it is unclear at this stage whether or not be will be able to return for the third instalment of the series in Sydney.
Cheika has opted against starting James Horwill, instead preferring the Brumbies second-row combo of Carter and Rory Arnold to add punch to the Wallabies pack.
The toughest decision, however, would have been trying to replace Pocock, who has now been officially ruled out by Australia for the second time.
Don't be surprised though to see Jones claim he is still preparing for the breakdown expert to make a miraculous recovery to play in time.
Rebels No.7 McMahon will slot into the back of the scrum behind Michael Hooper and Scott Fardy after another impressive Super Rugby season in which he has made 45 tackle busts and 829 run metres.
Meanwhile, Cheika has kept faith with the same backline and the centres pairing of Samu Kerevi and Tevita Kuridrani.
There was speculation Christian Lealiifano might have slotted into the No.12 jersey given he was probably going to start there in game one had his baby boy come into the world a little earlier, but Kerevi will get another chance after a passable showing in his Test debut.
Rob Horne has overcome the concussion that forced him from the field in game one and will take his place on the wing with Dane Haylett-Petty on the other side of the field.
Liam Gill fans will be happy to see him included in the extended 26-man list but he, Wycliff Palu and Horwill are expected to be omitted from the game-day squad on Friday.
