WOMEN and men have a different view of what they want from a future Australia, which is expected to affect the My Big Idea campaign.
The disparity was revealed in My Big Idea's National Values Assessment. When asked to list their top 10 cultural -values, there were many areas of similarity between the genders, but the order in which they were prioritised differs.
For instance, women want more affordable housing while men want political leaders to be more accountable, with property down the scale.
There is a greater degree of emphasis on care-oriented values in the women's top 10. When it comes to cultural values, women are slightly more positive, and their personal values are also similar, with heavy emphasis on plus points like family, caring and honesty. Both genders want a better Australia and the best way to achieve that is through the My Big Idea campaign.
