AUSTRALIAN aircraft maintenance engineers are in demand across the world and Queenslanders considering the role can learn all about it at Brisbane's TSXPO this weekend.
Registered training organisation Aviation Australia is presenting a seminar at 12.15pm today, one of 88 seminars to be held today and tomorrow.
It will cover the Certificate IV in Aeroskills and the pathway to becoming an aircraft maintenance engineer as well as the Certificate II in Aviation (Flight Operations) and this course's preparation for a career as cabin crew.
It will also discuss the support students receive before and after training, what they can expect from their studies, and employment prospects.
"As the standard of training is very high (in Australia) ... there is a very strong demand for Australian-trained aircraft maintenance engineers overseas, particularly the Middle East and South-East Asia," an Aviation Australia spokeswoman says.
"For cabin crew, the demand both domestically and internationally is steady. As with any career, passion, enthusiasm and dedication will go a long way in aviation. Whether mature age, looking for a career change or a school leaver, Aviation Australia provides excellence in aviation training to help every student achieve their aspirations."Aviation Australia is a partner to more than 60 airlines and aerospace companies, governments, defence forces and regulatory authorities, with more than 1000 graduates working worldwide.
