THE Swiss-Belhotel International Group will open its first Australian hotel later this year after committing to a long-term lease on a new South Brisbane tower. 
The Hong Kong-based group will open its 134-room hotel at 218 Vulture St on   November 1.
Swiss-Belhotel International chairman and president Gavin Faull said the building location was a strong point.
"We have a unique location with three large hospitals nearby which will bring in a special medical and family market ... we are also very close to the Gabba" he said.
The hotel features two banquet and meeting rooms, an indoor heated swimming pool, in-house gymnasium and secure on-site parking. It will also offer a bar and casual dining venue Cafe 63.Mr Faull said Swiss-Belhotel plans to have at least 10 Australian hotels under its management within five years and at least 40 within 10 years.
