Incumbent independent MP Andrew Wilkie has claimed victory in the Tasmanian metropolitan seat of Denison. With about 35 per cent of the vote counted, the Hobart-based politician held a two-party preferred result of more than 68 per cent."There has been a solid swing to me ... so I'm in a position to claim victory," Mr Wilkie said, citing dissatisfaction among the electorate for his increased swing and a move against the Liberal party.
