The Greens were last night confident of claiming the seat of Batman in Melbourne on the back of "very good" early counts.
The Greens, with candidate Alex Bhathal, fought a strong battle for the seat which had previously been held by Labor MP David Feeney with a margin of over 10 per cent."Batman is looking very good ... at this stage my scrutineers are telling us we've got our noses in front," Greens leader Richard Di Natale said as voting continued last night.
