FROM Darwin to Palmerston and the rural area, Territorians brought their usual quirky senses of humour to Australia Day at events all over the Top End.
Hundreds attended the Oz Fusion festival celebrating Darwin's cultural diversity, and the Family Fun Day at Howard Springs was also popular with both kids and adults.
The Turf Club hosted a race day, complete with a bogan fashion parade and pie-eating competition, while thong throwing was the centre of attention at Berry Springs Tavern.Citizenship ceremonies were held at Palmerston, Litchfield and Darwin, with members of the community on hand to welcome the NT's newest Aussies.
