â- THEY are a world away in the wilds of the South African jungle, but the I'm A Celebrity Get Me Outta Here hosts plan to celebrate Australia Day in their own special way.
Dr Chris Brown told Confidential: "Australia Day is all about the beach for me. "With the beach 1000km away right now, the best I can do is the river. No crowds, but there is a hippo. Not even Bondi has one of those." Co-host Julia Morris (pictured with Brown) added: "Australia Day is my dad's birthday, so it normally involves a glass of riesling and cake to celebrate my two favourite things." Comedian Joel Creasey and reality TV star Heather Maltman will host the show's late-night edition.
"I will have a barbecue with all the jungle friends I've made … which is my mirror and my phone. I love a sausage all year round, but particularly on Australia Day," Creasey said.
Maltman plans to be "canoodling a giraffe in the spirit of the traditional Australia Day drinks I won't be able to have".
She added: "Australia Day is kind of like the first time you got to ride up front in the car with your parents."It's a big deal, but you're not really sure why."
