Two people were taken to hospital on Thursday after a being hit by a car outside the Australian Open.
Police believe a car ran into the back of a stationary taxi at traffic lights on Olympic Boulevard, outside Olympic Park, about 1.20pm. 
"This has pushed the taxi into a group of nearby pedestrians," a Victoria Police spokeswoman said. 
Paramedics assessed four people at the scene and took two pedestrians to The Alfred Hospital in stable conditions, an Ambulance Victoria spokesman said.
The driver of the car was also taken to hospital, the police spokeswoman said. 
Police have asked anyone who witnessed the crash to call CrimeStoppers on 1800 333 000.
