Having a VIP pass to the Australian Open 2016 would be a dream come true for a young tennis lover.
Imagine sharing the courts with tennis stars, watching matches up close and having exclusive access to the venue.
That dream became a reality for 11-year-old tennis enthusiast Oliver Stuckley after he was named the November nominee in the ANZ Hot Shots of the Year competition.
The Australian Open sees tennis players from around the world gather in Melbourne to compete for a Grand Slam title. And this year Bayswater resident Oliver was amid all the action.
Nominees in the ANZ Hot Shots competition were selected each month in 2015 after showing their dedication and enthusiasm to tennis.
After being selected, Oliver and the eleven other nominees from across Australia were flown to Melbourne in January to be a part of the tennis tournament.
The Hot Shots were treated as true tennis stars and got to play on the same courts as the world's best competitors at Melbourne Park.
Oliver said his trip to Melbourne was very exciting and something he would never forget.
"We did so many awesome things," he said. "It was so cool when I walked on to play at Rod Laver Arena and my favourite tennis player, Andy Murray, was standing on court."
"Playing there was amazing, I felt like a professional."
Oliver and the other nominees were given a tennis equipment prize pack and offered exclusive behind-the-scenes access to the tennis action, rubbing shoulders with some of the biggest names in the game.
"We got to meet and have a hit with Thanasi Kokkinakis and we met so many Australian tennis legends. One of them was Pat Rafter," he said.
The VIP treatment also took the Hot Shot nominees on a backstage trip to the Melbourne Zoo where they had a private giraffe encounter and barbecue.
Oliver said bonding with the other nominees was one of the highlights of the trip.
"One of the best bits of the whole trip was meeting other kids from around Australia who love tennis as much as I do," he said.
"I made some really good friends and it is something I will remember forever."
