A MAN has been arrested over a cowardly "king-hit" assault on a sailor at a southwest Sydney railway station on Anzac Day. 
Corey Evans, 24, suffered a bloodied nose after he was allegedly attacked by a drunken 27-year-old as he was getting off a train at Glenfield at 2.45pm.
Police said Mr Evans told a rowdy group of people to "curb their behaviour" but one of the men took offence and punched him in the face.
Witness Ashleigh O'Neill said the group was "swearing and carrying on in front of my children and an elderly war veteran".
At 4.30pm yesterday a man attended Macquarie Fields Police Station with a solicitor.He was arrested and was last night helping police with their inquiries.
