Chris Gayle could still be back in the Big Bash League this season after Cricket Australia boss James Sutherland declared there is no ban on him returning.
The Melbourne Renegades are at least one club that remains open to the possibility of bringing back the West Indian superstar.
CA had intimated strongly at the time of the "Don't Blush Baby" controversy in January that Gayle's cards were effectively marked "never to return".
The master blaster may yet to be left out in the cold anyway, but after originally threatening to come over the top of any club that tried to sign him, CA has now officially backed down.Gayle's lack of remorse for the infamous boundary-line interview with Mel McLaughlin has been consistently on show over the past few months and went to a new level this week when he boasted on social media that he had named his new-born baby daughter "Blush".
