A CONVICTED New Zealand dog fighter is believed to be living on-and-off in Australia despite his criminal past.
Floyd Langkilde (pictured) was found guilty of breeding and training dogs for fighting in his homeland 10 years ago.
Authorities believe Langkilde is currently not living Australia, and due to his criminal past, they would be alerted if he tried to re-enter the country.
But last month Langkilde updated his Facebook page as living in Mangrove Mountain in NSW, near the suspected dog-fighting hotspot of Gosford. He was believed to be living in Queensland last year.
In New Zealand, Langkilde went by the moniker "King Pin" after his pitbull terriers were crowned champions.
The Sunday Mail is not suggesting Langkilde is still directly involved in dog fighting.
In a recent Facebook post, Langkilde stated he was attending a "show" over the Anzac Day weekend in New Zealand. But just weeks later, he updated his status in NSW.
Langkilde became New Zealand's most infamous dog fighter when a current affairs television program was invited to film a bust at his property.Langkilde pleaded guilty to two charges of training and breeding pitbulls. The judge in Langkilde's trial described the dog fighting trade as "insidious" and "repulsive" and indefinitely banned him from owning dogs.
