Master Builders director Michael McLean says there are some outstanding entries from WA in this year's Master Builders National Building Excellence Awards
WINNING a Master Builders Housing Excellence Award in Western Australia is an extraordinary achievement, but going on to win a national award for the same home, residential development or commercial project is an even more exceptional achievement, which doesn't come along very often.
Each year, the best homes built in each state and territory are nominated for the Master Builders National Awards.
The judging of these awards, which is based solely on the construction quality, is not a task that is taken lightly and it requires a keen eye for detail.
The judging panel, comprised of a combination of active and retired builders from each state and territory, determine who they consider to be award winners in each category. The quality of each of the entries is exceptionally high and the winner usually ends up being decided by a majority vote.
WA is always proud to participate in the national awards program and we have done extremely well over the years, receiving a record seven national awards in 2012.
There are some outstanding homes entered this year, which is a credit to each of the builders involved.
We're proud to reveal the residential projects submitted from WA for this year's National Awards.
A further 12 non-residential projects have also been nominated that are equally impressive in their own right.
