The sky didn't fall in over the MCG when the AFL grand final was a Victorian club-free zone for three straight years from 2004 to '06. And AFL chief executive Gillon McLachlan said at Monday's finals launch that he was excited at the potential for the 2015 grand final to be a derby between Fremantle and West Coast. "I think it would be an amazing thing to see 40,000 people coming across the Nullarbor ... bringing that West Australian passion to Melbourne." Robert Walls, who won flags as a player with Carlton in 1968, '70 and '72 and again as Blues coach in '87, will present the Jock McHale Medal to the winning coach on grand final day. He agreed with the bookmakers that the Hawks deserved to be favourites. Walls was also looking forward to watching the Western Bulldogs and Richmond try to snap long premiership droughts. AFL Hall of Fame inductee and 1997 and '98 Norm Smith Medallist Andrew McLeod will present the Norm Smith Medal to the best on ground in the grand final. Footscray century goalkicker Simon Beasley will present the John Coleman Medal to this year's winner
