Six Hawthorn players have been shortlisted for the AFL's All Australian 2015 team. 
The honorary team is selected by a panel at the end of each season. 
The league announced its 40-man squad on Tuesday afternoon, with the final 22 players expected to be revealed at a later date.
Up-and-coming team the Western Bulldogs have five players in the mix, as do ladder leaders Fremantle and West Coast.
Brownlow favourites Nat Fyfe, Patrick Dangerfield and Matthew Priddis were all unsurprising inclusions.
