Melbourne has scored a win over Sydney by securing the Australian Grand Prix until at least 2023.
In a video posted on Facebook on Saturday, Victorian Premier Daniel Andrews teased his counterpart in NSW, Mike Baird, with the news that the Formula One race was here to stay in the "sports and major events capital of our nation".

During the NSW election campaign in March, Mr Baird announced he would work on bringing the Grand Prix to Sydney if elected.
In the 50-second video, Mr Andrews held a copy of the Daily Telegraph which had carried a front page story, "Mike Revs up Sydney" about Mr Baird's pledge.
"I'm sorry Mike but the Australian Formula One Grand Prix is here to stay exactly where it belongs, in the great city of Melbourne," Mr Andrews said.
"The good news is that you and tens of thousands of others from NSW and right across Australia and indeed right across the world are more than welcome to come to Melbourne to be part of the great race.
"In fact, I'll even shout you a ticket."
The video ended with an announcement that Melbourne would host the race until 2023 and the hashtag #sorrynotsorry.
In August, the NSW Premier trolled Mr Andrews after the Victorian Premier launched a new branding logo for his state.
Mr Baird tweeted the "Victoria, Best of everything" logo, with a disclaimer "offer excludes harbour, infrastructure and sunshine".

Mr Andrews returned fire with "@mikebairdMP you are just grumpy because you haven't had a decent coffee since you were last in Melbourne! But thanks for the free coverage."
The battle, it seems, will continue.
