SCOTT Morrison has dubbed himself a stay-at-home Treasurer, saying he will not involve himself in international affairs until the domestic -financial situation is sorted. 
The newly-appointed Treasurer got down to business yesterday, meeting Reserve Bank Governor Glenn Stevens to discuss the state of the economy.
As revealed by The Daily Telegraph yesterday, Mr Morrison confirmed he wanted to provide tax cuts and pledged to get spending under control.
Mr Morrison said he would leave international matters to Finance Minister Mathias Cormann and Assistant Treasurer Kelly O'Dwyer while he brought Australia's debt and deficit under control.
"My job as Treasurer now, I think is to be a home Treasurer, a domestic Treasurer, one very focused on the challenges in front of us," he saidMr Morrison denied reports yesterday the Abbott government's Tax White Paper had been abandoned. "It's a critical part of our plans to provide real opportunities for Australians who want to work, save, and invest," he said.
