AN AUSSIE youth worker has been killed in Syria.
Shareef Alnimer, 27, (pictured) was working for a German charity in the war-torn region when he was killed, the ABC reported last night.
Mr Alnimer, of Campbelltown in Syd-ney, formerly worked at the Community Youth Centre, where alleged ISIS recruiter Hamdi Alqudsi was an active member.
A business colleague told the ABC that Mr Alnimer was not fighting in Syria but was doing charity work for Islamic charity Helfen, which translates to "Helping in need".More than 120 Australians are thought to be in Syria and Iraq, and about 30 have been killed.
