HOLLYWOOD hunk Chris Hemsworth will bring his billion-dollar Thor films Down Under courtesy of generous tax cuts from the Federal Government. 
Australia has secured two large-budget international film productions. Marvel Studios film Ragnarok - starring Hemsworth - and an untitled alien film by 20th Century Fox and director Ridley Scott will be produced in Australia from next year.
Foreign Minister Julie Bishop announced a deal, which includes $47 million investment, by way of location offsets.
Ms Bishop met with senior executives of major film and production houses during her recent visits to both Los Angeles and New York.
"All expressed a very keen desire to invest in significant film production projects right here in Australia," Ms Bishop said.The productions would bring more than $300 million in offshore investment to Australia's economy.
