He sees us from 400km high  every day as the International Space Station orbits Earth and in   May, he said: "Australia, you are very beautiful.
"Thanks for being there to brighten our day." 
Now NASA astronaut Scott Kelly has compiled a series of pictures of a single pass over the continent. Overnight on Tuesday, he posted 11 of the 17 photos he has taken.
 Between the experiments, maintenance and medical tests that occupy daily life on the ISS, he is collecting images using the hashtag #EarthArt.
Today, Capt. Kelly, 51, marks 200 days on the ISS on the way to notching up a year in space in   March, when he will return to Earth.
