I used to do lots of different sports such as basketball, swimming, ice-skating and horseriding. Years ago I entered the Special Olympics Australia State Games and tried athletics. I ended up with gold medals. This led to winning many medals for national and international events with Special Olympics and Athletics Australia.
 What's your greatest ambition?
To represent Australia at the Rio Paralympics in 2016. I also have my sights set on the 2018 Commonwealth Games in Queensland and the 2020 Paralympics in Japan.
How much time do you spend training?
20-25 hours a week.
Who has helped you on your journey?
My mum and family have supported me to achieve my best. My coach Sebastian Kuzminski is absolutely amazing and makes me work very, very hard. He is a very dedicated and talented coach.
What has been your biggest hurdle in getting this far in athletics?
It is hard work with a mild physical disability and having autism. It is difficult to process information and noise. All the things going on around me are overwhelming and a bombardment of the senses. It takes a lot of concentration and effort to try to block these things out.
Of what are you most proud?
My achievements in athletics give me a great sense of self-esteem and show people the amazing things that people with disabilities are capable of.
If you could give one word of encouragement to other young people, what would it be?
Go out and do your best ... from small things come big achievements that never seemed possible.
If you had the power to change one thing in the world what would it be?
I would like to see a cure or more research for autism.
How do you spend your spare time?
I love listening to music and I do a lot of artwork with my dad.
What is your favourite TV show?
Rage.
