More than 370 million viewers watched this year's Australian Open in more than 200 countries, a record world audience for the event, according to Tennis Australia's annual report. 
The 2015 event was the first tournament Tennis Australia had produced for broadcast purposes, taking control from Seven West Media under the terms of a new television broadcast contract.
in Japan, 54 million viewers watched Kei Nishikori's five matches, part of Tennis Australia's production of  the Open's 411 main draw matches and up from 250 matches in 2014.
Tennis Australia's 2015 annual report said there were 14.3 million unique visitors to the Australian Open website during the two-week tournament, and more than 1.2 million Australian Open hashtags used across all social media platforms.
There were more than 13 million views of Australian Open action streamed online via Chinese online video platform iQiyi.
