Goldman Sachs has eight new managing directors in its Australian and New Zealand business as part of the firm's global annual promotion process announced this morning. 
Among them were equity capital markets syndication head Jabe Jerram, metals and mining banker Peter Watson, Sydney equities sales trader Dyson Bowditch and Jandirk tom Dieck and Duane Robinson, also from the securities team. 
Martin Smith, who is at Goldman Sachs Asset Management, banks analyst Andrew Lyons in equities research and Matthew O'Callaghan in legal were also promoted to managing director. 
Goldman Sachs' local boss Simon Rothery announced the promotions to staff on Friday morning.
