Test cricket returns to the WACA on Friday and spectators are advised to slip, slop, slap as the mercury is set to go close to hitting the first century of the day - in the old scale.
Weatherzone is tipping a roasting 35 degrees that's bound to test the resilience of the hardiest cricket fan.
That will be followed by 37 degrees on Saturday, and 35 for Sunday and Monday.
If the match continues into the fifth day, Tuesday, the teams will welcome a cooler 29.
A Weatherzone spokesman said that spring temperatures had been building in the north of the state and there hadn't been enough rain to cool the air.
"That heat is now filtering down the coast as a trough that's going to sit off the coast, west of Perth," he said.
"That's what's bringing the high temperatures."
A WACA spokesman said that sunscreen stations, water facilities and several mist stations would be available at the ground throughout the test.
There had also been an increase in shaded areas.
"The biggest is a shade area of 490 square metres between Gate 2 and Gate 3 on the northern side of the ground," the spokesman said
That area would also offer several food and beverage outlets, seats and tables and a large 15 square metre video screen
"Patrons can enjoy the atmosphere of the game while being protected from the sun and not miss a ball of the match," the spokesman said.
A similar area has also been established in the south-west corner of the ground near Gate 7.
There has also been an increase in internal shade areas with the Inverarity Bar now renovated to provide an external bar near a new double-storey marquee. The lower level will provide a lounge area open to all patrons.
Volunteers will be active throughout the venue providing free water to seated patrons.
WACA Survival Kit
Shade - try to find some - and remember that heat can reflect/radiate from some surfaces and still burn you If you're in the sun, give yourself regular shade breaks - even if it's in the TAB and you do a bundle. Wear a broad brimmed hat - you need to shade your face and neck as much as possible Slap on the sunscreen - and reapply as needed - 30-50SPF should do the trick Wear sunglasses to shield eyes from glare and harmful rays Maybe bring a bandanna or similar cloth you can soak and apply to the back of your neck Consider long sleeved shirt and long trousers/pants. Cover as much skin as possible Hydrate - drink plenty of water throughout the day Fly repellent - bring it along in case they've still got the energy to buzz you. Keep an eye on the kids - they could quickly get distressed if running around Go easy on the alcohol - it will dehydrate you faster.
