Sydney Sixers spinner Stephen O'Keefe suggested Australia should consider playing three spin bowlers in the Sydney Test, before adding the presence of power-hitters Aaron Finch and Chris Gayle in the Melbourne Renegades' Big Bash League team would ram home a brutal truth to some rivals during the tournament. The Sixers play the Renegades in Melbourne on Wednesday night, and O'Keefe maintained it was vital his team, which made last summer's final, build on a comprehensive win over the Hobart Hurricanes after being soundly beaten by cross-town rivals the Sydney Thunder in the season opener. The Sixers opened their bowling attack in last Sunday's 95-run win over Hobart with off-spinners Nathan Lyon and Johan Botha, and it proved a masterstroke, with Lyon snaring 5-23 and Botha helping to tie the batters down as the Hurricanes crumbled. O'Keefe, who took 2-17 in the rout, described skipper Moises Henriques' decision to open the attack with tweakers at either end as the sign of a skipper who can assess conditions, adding the spin performance should have caught the eye of the Australian team's hierarchy.
