GRANGE Bowling Club's Wayne Ruediger helped guide Australia to silver at this month's Asia-Pacific Bowls Championships in New Zealand.
Ruediger, of Andrews Farm, was part of the men's fours that lost 16-14 to the Kiwis in the final.
The former world champion - the only South Australian in the 10-strong Jackaroos squad - led the triples and fours at the 18-nation event. Ruediger won six group games in the fours and seven in the triples as Australia topped its pool in both competitions. The triples lost to Japan in a semi-final, while the fours edged Hong Kong-China before losing to the hosts in the final. Ruediger is part of the Adelaide Endurance team that suffered a third-straight Australian Premier League bowls grand final defeat last month.
