Australian comedian Sam Simmons has achieved a stand-up hat-trick, winning Best Comedy Show at the world's biggest performing arts festival, Edinburgh Fringe, after taking out gongs in Melbourne and Adelaide.
Simmons, 38, received the Foster's Edinburgh Comedy Award top gong on Saturday night for his show Spaghetti for Breakfast, which won the Barry Award at this year's Melbourne International Comedy Festival and and the Underbelly Award at Adelaide Fringe.

The Los Angeles-based performer received the gong from retired cricketer and TV presenter Andrew "Freddie" Flintoff, who made his comedy debut this month at Edinburgh, and last year's winner John Kearns.
"Freddie won I'm A Celebrity??? Get Me Out Of Here in Australia, so I feel this is deserved - taking the Foster's back to Australia," Simmons said while receiving the &pound;10,000 ($21,445) prize.

Fellow Australian comedian Sarah Kendall was nominated for the Foster's award for her show A Day in   October, while Tom Ballard was nominated for Best Newcomer for his Edinburgh debut with Taxis and Rainbows and Hatred.
