A CONVICTED child-sex predator who had his visa cancelled by the Australian Government 15 months ago is still in the country. 
Former immigration minister Scott Morrison withdrew Ali Jaffari's permanent protection visa last   May but authorities have failed to arrange the refugee's deportation.
The convicted sex offender was arrested last year after loitering near young children in various Melbourne locations.
A spokeswoman for Immigration Minister Peter Dutton said: "Mr Jaffari ... remains in immigration detention pending his removal from Australia." Jaffari, 37, from Afghanistan, was convicted of accessing child porn images last year and given a three-month suspended prison sentence.He lost his appeal to stay in Australia four months ago but remains in the country.
